ARC Review: A Missing Connection

Pals! It’s February (can you believe it?) and I’m back at it with the advance reviews! I’m really excited to be sharing all the magical (and pretty angsty) feels from this super fun novella from Dani McLean. It’s coming your way March 7th 2023 and you’re really gonna want to pick it up!

Okay this one was ALL types of fun. I loved the premise (two perfect strangers magically are able to talk to each other through a telepathic connection?!) and I think lots of folks will connect with our career-driven FMC in April. And Beau (god what a great MC name right?!) is such a SOFTY. Talk about putting everything in your life aside for what is expected of you.

From our first mind meet-cute to the very end I was SO invested. There’s genuine sweetness, chemistry for literal days, telepathic phone sex (v horny), longing (still horny), laughs (did you know male swans cheat?) and oh my god Beau’s vision for his life (3 dogs?!?), I love them your honor.

I really loved the fact that this kind of puts the traditional pen-pal romance on its head a bit, and good christ, the date April planned for Beau at the market with voice notes at each stall?! EXCUSE ME, the romance, is far too high! I may never fully recover.

Their journey from strangers, to brain-buds, to mutual crushes, then best friends, to lovers is exactly what I love so much about these darn romances! I can’t wait to read this one at least 2 more times before it hits shelves and online retailers March 7th.
