The Weekly Recap

It’s Sunday y’all and time for me to take a beat and reflect on everything I read this week. And what a week it was! I’m slowly figuring out my bookstagram presence, work is busy but I feel like I am doing deeply complex and invigorating work, it’s almost the holidays, and I still love reading romance books.

I read a lot of stuff this week, are you ready?

The Princess and the Rogue by Kate Bateman

It’s becoming clear that I will read (and love) anything Kate Bateman writes. This historical bodyguard romance features a grumpy bow-street investigator and a Russian princess in hiding! Danger, intrigue, love, passion, humor this one has it all.

Three Kings Freydís Moon

I’m going to be thinking of this book for a really, really, REALLY long time I think. It’s a gorgeous slice of nordic folklore life between trans witch Ethan and his fisherman partner Peter, and ooops a VERY hot Selkie Nico and some horny potion, baby making and polyamory and you’re in for a cottage-core TREAT.

When She Was Naughty by Tessa Dare

A cute (and quick) read featuring two idiots that love each other but have instead decided to antagonize the shit out of each other.

Santa Baby by Eliza Mclane

This has to be the stand out Santa adjacent (hot AF) holiday read of the year for me. Best friends younger sister. Snow-storm. She has a whole second life as a porn director, producer (and sometimes) performer. He thinks he’s landed an acting gig to play Santa. Nick and Holly are PERFECTION and so is this read.

The Gansters Prize by Joanna Shupe

I love me a Joanna Shupe romance. They are gritty, emotional, sexy as hell, and never EVER disappoint. This is one of the darker ones I’ve read and LOVED Billy Baxter and his gang of ALL FEMALE bodyguards. Daughter of my sworn enemy in my bed? Okay yes to all of this.

How to Forget a Duke by Vivenne Lorret (DNF @23%)

I could not get into this one, and it pained me so much to abandon it.

10 Signs You Need to Grovel by Kelly Siskind (Advance Review)

I loved this one, and how it pushes the series forward further. Get into my full advance read by visiting here.

One Duke Down by Anna Bennett (Advance Review)

Oh my gosh this book is going to be on so many people’s BEST of lists next year. A perfect historical romance between proud fisherman’s daughter Poppy and recently washed ashore Duke Keane. Check my full advance review here.

Enticing Scrooge by Jessa Kane (Free with KU)

I read this a few days ago and I STILL have no idea what I read. This was a B-O-N-K-E-R-S erotic novella that features insta-love, a wildly possessive daddy and some jaw dropping scenes.

Resting Scrooge Face by Meghan Quinn (Free with KU)

I loved stepping back into the Port Snow adjacent world and this second chance pen-pal small town romance was quick, sweet and had all the hallmarks of Quinn’s sparkling writing and humor. Now I just need a house to renovate in a small town on the coast.

Plowed by M.L. Eliza (Free with KU)

A follow up to 2021’s Santa Claus is Going To Town On Me, Plowed picks up after Holly and Santa have been together for a little over 5 months (human time) and is a delightfully horny as the first book.
