The Weekly Recap
Friends I am sick, while its not the Rona (I don’t think), it is terrible. I dunno if it’s because its been literally 2.5 years of not being sick to make this just hashtag the worst. In addition to my dumbass endometriosis, my body right now is essentially that gif of the dumpster on fire being carried away by a flood.
It’s day 7 of being sick and I’ve hit that point where my brain is convinced I’ll never be well again, so yes please feel bad for me. Sad kitten sounds.
Oh! I did start a bookstagram account though! It’s linked in the main navigation on the site here or you can follow @myblogisgreat for all the quotes, recaps, pandering and reviews! Please be my friend?
Spending most of the last 7 days in bed has been pretty good for my romance reading habit though, so let this be lesson for us all, there are silver linings everywhere.
Alright my sweets here’s everything I read this week.
Faking with Benefits by Lily Gold (Free with KU)
A decent (but maybe a little clunky) why choose romance between three men who run a relationship podcast and their lingerie designer neighbour who is really bad at dating. Was it hot, yes. Was it cute in some spots, yes. Was it a little bonkers, absolutely. Check trigger warnings for extended sexual harassment and trauma from bullying.
Release by Suzanne Clay (Free with KU)
Kinky af workplace romance between a brilliant and much older furniture designer and his much younger personal assistant of 3 years. She’s sexually fluid and has a free use and praise kink, he’s a demisexual soft dom, there’s no third act breakup. A delicious amount of “good girl’s” sprinkled throughout. It’s a quick low angst, erotic af read.
Christmas Passion and Hot Cocoa Cookies by Erin Rose (ARC)
A ver sweet debut novella from author duo Erin Rose, check my full advance review here.
In Like Flynn by Lauren Smith
PIRATES. Deception. She rescues him. He sacrifices himself for her. She’s magnificent, he’s smitten. This is the perfect adventure romance that will sweep you away.
Ensnared by the Werewolf by Lillian Lark
A witch searching for her mate, a werewolf convinced he’s cursed. This was a sweet novella that features knotting, breeding and primal play. Lillian’s been crushing it (imho) and Ensnared by the Werewolf is another awesome entry into her monster f*ckers catalogue.
